Peer Review Policy
The Wah Academia Journal of Global Religions (WAJGR) is committed to upholding rigorous academic and ethical standards through a transparent double-blind peer review process.
Reviewer Assignment
-
Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers.
-
Reviewers are selected based on subject-matter expertise, research background, and absence of conflicts of interest.
-
All reviewers are external to the journal’s editorial board to maintain impartiality.
Review Process
-
WAJGR follows a double-blind system: both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.
-
Reviewers assess manuscripts for originality, methodological rigor, clarity, contribution to social sciences, and adherence to ethical research standards.
-
Reviewers submit constructive feedback and one of the following recommendations:

Editorial Decision
-
The final decision (acceptance, revision, or rejection) is made by the Editor-in-Chief or an assigned Associate Editor, based on the reviewers’ reports and overall quality of the manuscript.
-
In cases of conflicting reviews, a third reviewer may be invited to provide an additional assessment.
Transparency and Ethics
-
WAJGR adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
-
Reviewers must treat all manuscripts confidentially and declare any potential conflicts of interest.
-
All peer review activities are monitored to ensure fairness, objectivity, and academic integrity.
Review Timeframe
-
To ensure thorough evaluation, the standard review period is 6–8 weeks from submission to initial decision.
-
Submission, revision, and acceptance dates are published with all articles to maintain transparency.
