Peer Review Policy
Peer Review Policy
The Wah Academia Journal of Global Religions is committed to a fair, rigorous, and transparent peer-review process that upholds academic quality and ethical standards.
- Peer Review Model
WAJGR employs a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed to ensure impartial evaluation.
- Reviewer Selection
Reviewers are selected based on their subject-matter expertise, scholarly credentials, and experience relevant to the manuscript under review. All reviewers are required to declare any conflicts of interest before accepting a review invitation. All reviewers are external to the journal’s editorial board to maintain impartiality.
- Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers are expected to:
- Treat submitted manuscripts as confidential documents
- Provide objective, constructive, and scholarly feedback
- Evaluate submissions solely on academic merit and relevance
- Notify the editors of any ethical concerns or suspected misconduct

- Editorial Decision-Making
Editorial decisions are based on reviewer reports, editorial assessment, and compliance with ethical and academic standards. Possible decisions include acceptance, revision, or rejection.
Editors retain final responsibility for decisions and ensure consistency with the journal’s Statement of Ethics and Editorial Policy.
- Ethical Oversight
If ethical issues arise during peer review—such as plagiarism, misrepresentation, or cultural insensitivity—the journal follows COPE procedures to investigate and resolve concerns fairly and transparently. https://publicationethics.org/guidance
- Confidentiality and Data Protection
All manuscripts and reviewer communications are treated as confidential. Information obtained through peer review is not used for personal advantage or shared with third parties.
- Transparency and Best Practices
The peer-review process is clearly described on the journal website in line with DOAJ transparency standards and Web of Science evaluation criteria. https://doaj.org/apply/guide/
