Religious diversity is one of the most complex phenomena that the religious studies and philosophy face. The issue of religious diversity forms the main area of interest in this paper with references to the epistemology of religious knowledge acquisition and theological controversies. That way, it brings out how different religious beliefs influence staking on religious authority, knowledge, as well as the prospect of dialogue between religions. With problems from religious studies, philosophy, and theology at its core, this study critiques ways of overcoming the tension between the presence of religious plurality, on the one hand, and truth claims, on the other, to inform both inter-religious engagements and religious practice.
